1984 Porsche 911 Targa
Mild Back-Date Hot Rod
Clean Title & Carfax
Up for grabs is a very special air-cooled Porsche build. This 911 is powered by a high compression 3.0L with euro pistons & cylinders, sport grind cams, and velocity stacked Weber 40’s. The induction sound of the engine through the vintage Bursch exhaust is easily one the best I have heard. The power is put down through a rebuilt 915 transmission with a Pro Technik shifter, lightweight flywheel and upgraded engine / trans mounts. The engine & transmission build were done roughly 2 years & 2k miles ago by a Porsche race shop in Tampa, FL. Suspension has been lowered with new Bilstein shocks and rides great with zero clearance issues - new brakes were done at the time as well. The air conditioning has also been retrofitted to a modern aftermarket unit with an upgraded compressor & condenser relocation kit which gives it an electric fan & moves it to the wheel well - away from the engine heat. This setup works great and is the only way to have modern cooling in a vintage 911.
The exterior of the car has been backdated to a ‘74 Carrera look with all aluminum trim, Targa hoop & flip out quarter glass. The US-Spec rear bumperettes have also been deleted for a very clean look. Paint is in excellent condition with little to no imperfections throughout. The interior is also in great shape with little wear all around and has been fitted with nice bucket seats, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, and Coco Mats. There are also some Rennline goodies like aluminum floor boards, door handles & gauge surrounds.
All in all, this is a very unique build that would take far more than the asking price + years to put together. It offers a true hot rod / outlaw driving experience and is turn key, ready to be enjoyed.
$84,900
